STRATACACHE CEO, Chris Riegel, Honored with Retail Media Award at the Retail Media Summit

DAYTON, OH, US—July 18, 2024 — Chris Riegel, CEO and founder of international leading retail technology and solutions provider STRATACACHE, has been honored by the Path to Purchase Institute (P2PI) in the 2024 Retail Media Awards. Recognizing innovative leaders who are effectively leveraging or helping others leverage retail media for successful digital and omnichannel campaigns, the Retail Media Awards are announced every year during P2PI’s Retail Media Summit. This year the summit took place in Chicago June 25-27.

“The STRATACACHE family of companies has been delivering in-store technologies that drive efficiencies and increased promotional opportunities to international retailers for decades. We believe in the huge opportunity of bringing retail media into the store and, with the help of industry partners, have been very active in communicating the full potential to retailers. We’re also equipping them with the expertise they need to activate their own networks. It really is an honor to have our efforts recognized with this award,” said Chris Riegel, CEO STRATACACHE.

“P2PI’s Retail Media Awards honor the top commerce marketers pioneering the rapidly changing realm of retail media. This year’s winners are trailblazers in the industry, making impactful change, driving innovation and advancing the evolution of retail media as it relates to connected commerce across the path to purchase,” said Jessie Dowd, according to the P2PI announcement.

As well as receiving the Retail Media Award, Riegel also delivered a presentation at the summit. Outlining the differences in potential revenue and relevancy of messaging between a digital out of home (DOOH) advertising strategy and a retail media network, Riegel highlighted four significant benefits of in-store retail media as part of his presentation, The Lost Mile of Conversions: In Store Media and Shopper Marketing Revolution:

  • Substantial increases in impression value through data-driven shopper marketing strategies versus traditional digital out-of-home approaches – data-driven shopper marketing strategies collect consumer insights to best deliver relevant messages and campaigns to specific audiences
  • The ability to retarget hyper-relevant intent audiences across digital and CTV platforms – driving conversions by tailoring messages that resonate with specific audiences at different stages of decision making and purchase
  • Deep insights into shopper behavior within stores – aiding companies to understand shopper purchasing decisions
  • Real-time testing of contextual and personalized digital media for enhanced conversion - leading to deployment of relevant promotional messages based on individual preferences and behaviors

Riegel’s appearance at the Retail Media Summit follows an appearance earlier in the month at Retail MediaX and the Retail Technology Show in April, both in London, UK. He will be a speaker at DMEXCO, taking place in Cologne Germany September 18-19.
